Faery Escape and Faery Escape Challenge:

Select a tile and swap it with a neighbor to make 3, 4, or 5 in a row or column. This will break the tiles and cause the ones above to drop and fill in the blank spaces. New tiles are inserted at the top. Special tiles will be left if you create a 4, or 5 matched row or column. Subsequent breaks of these special tiles have special effects. 4: breaks neighboring tiles in a circular pattern. 5: breaks all currently displayed tiles of the same type. Strategy: For Faery Escape, break groups of 3. Avoid breaking groups of 4, or 5 in a row or column, especially in a challenge level. All faeries must be allowed to drop through the bottom to be counted as saved.

Challenge Strategy: For Faery Escape Challenge, break groups of 3. Avoid breaking groups of 4, or 5 in a row or column, unless it helps. Keep in mind the break patterns for special tiles. All faeries must be allowed to drop through the bottom to be counted as saved. Any faeries destroyed in this level will be counted and added to your goal amount. (up to a level maximum). You will have to repeat the level if you destroy too many faeries in this level.
